Edarat Group comprehensive Data Center Assessment services will provide insight into the facility power, cooling and space utilization installed capacities (current loads, available and stranded capacity), level of redundancy, site conditions, risk exposure, and single-point-of failures through a rigorous on-site inspection.

The Data Center assessment serves as a solid ground to chart future direction and to select the best approach on how to upgrade, improve, relocate or build the required data center. It provides customers with the necessary information to manage their facilities to ensure optimal performance, increase the life of their hardware and ensure the highest level of network availability.

Edarat Group consultants will baseline the current state of the respective data center’s power and cooling infrastructure and recommend improvements around efficiency, effectiveness and availability.

This non-invasive assessment will help our customers visualize the current power, cooling and space utilization, identify under-utilized capacities and ultimately provide recommendations to eliminate potential points of failure.

As such the Assessment will be based on the following:

  • Mechanical Systems Review:

        - Comprehensive Mechanical Topology Study

        - Condition, current load, and total capacity of all applicable equipment (chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers, heat

exchanger, economizer systems, CRAC or CRAH and pumps)
        - "Free Cooling" Economizer Analysis

  • Electrical Systems Review:

        - Comprehensive Electrical Topology Study
        - Condition, current load, and total capacity of all applicable equipment (utility feed, transformers, switch gear, UPS

systems, PDUs, remote power panels and generators)

  • Computer Room Environmental Review:

        - Overall layout review and physical inspection of racks, plenum(s), raised floor system and containment

          infrastructures
        - Continuous real-time monitoring with customizable wireless sensor system to track airflow, temperature, humidity

and power consumption trends over time
        - Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling

  • Reliability Study / Availability Estimation

        - Potential Risk Identification
        - Point of Failure Analysis
